The name ATEX (ATmospheres EXplosible) is commonly given to the framework for controlling explosive atmospheres and the standards of equipment and protective systems used in them OCTOBER 2008.

IECEx is the IEC System for Certification to Standards Relating to Equipment for Use in Explosive Atmospheres. It uses quality assessment specifications that are based on International Standards prepared by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
Energy efficiency verification marks from CSA Group demonstrate that the product has met the energy efficiency requirements outlined by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), Canadian provincial energy efficiency regulations, California Energy Commission (CEC) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
